PC Fair I 2007 @ KLCC

It been nearly a year I didn't visit PC Fair @ KLCC (which I skipped 3 times in total I guess). The very last time I went there were to buy my Edifier R501 MKII speakers from blackie, a friend of mine from LowYat.Net

This time around I'm hunting a printer for myself and then guiding / advising 2 of my fellow junior mates to buy new rig for them and some other accessories. I went there first round on Friday with my mum and sister to look around and survey, since my mum is helping her friend to get a lappie. I found myself Canon iP4300 Printer, my sister wants a Canon Lide 25 Scanner and a few choices of lappie for my mum's friend. Well, we leave all the buyings for tomorrow.

The next day which is Saturday, my juniors arrived from Ipoh and they picked me up at my house before we went on hunting cheap stay for them to overnight in KL. At first, they were hunting for this Tune Hotel which located at Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman. We managed to find that street after asking around, but yet we still failed to locate the building which is white in colour with red stripes (we called it as Adobe Reader building! *coz it's red and white as well* )

Failed... failed... and thus they followed my Sistah's advise to stay in those low rate hotel around Bukit Bintang. Hence, they rented a room for RM128 at a newly build Replica Inn Hotel at Jalan Alor. Overnight stay, settled!

We went for a short lunch with my Sistah and Hazel which both of them wanted to do shopping at Sg. Wang. After the lunch, we start our survey for hardwares and pricing at Low Yat Plaza.

We spent about 2 hours in Low Yat Plaza till we satisfied with the info and quotation we obtained, we then travel to KLCC for the PC Fair.

Oops... we went the wrong way in monorail. Suppose we head to KL Sentral from Bukit Bintang but we ended up at Chow Kit *paiseh, first time silap platform *. But thanks for it, we managed to spot the Tune Hotel nearby Medan Tuanku station.

We met with blackie here and bought 1 set of Edifier R501 MKII and 2 sets of Edifier M2300 from him.

Heh ~ no wonder we failed to look for this guy, Lam (middle) at Low Yat earlier because he was summoned to stand here for 3 days consecutive ~ LoL

Stuff we carried back from PC Fair

The very next day, they went to Low Yat to assemble their rig and buying the hardwares and accessories they wanted. Right then... we had a big problem... how we gonna stuff ALL into a Proton Gen.2 including 4 people with their traveling bags as well???

The result... frankly I said, three people other than the driver hardly move their hand

We safely reached Ipoh around 6pm and the trip ended. Considered a successful trip after that all of us managed to get what we wanted from both Low Yat Plaza and PC Fair

Sushi King Privilege Bonanza Rampage

Sushi King Privilege Bonanza is back and it fall on 9 ~ 12 April 2007 (Mon ~ Thurs).

The very first day of the promotion, I went with my fellow junior mates of my course and 6 people finished up 57 plates of sushi. Quite a number, but not yet the greatest yet.

Second day, I forfeited it. After all, even thou RM2 promotion... we still need to pay for the sushi! It's cheap, but not free after all. Hahaha...

The third day of the promotion, I went with my fellow junior mates again, not all same from the previous visit. This time around, 5 people finished up 64 plates of sushi and a big number of it was Ebiten Tempura sushi.

The last day I didn't plan to visit Sushi King actually, after that I had 25 plates myself from the previous 2 visits. However, my mum, sister and aunt went for it and asked me to join (that because I'm having the membership card). At last, ended up with 10+ plates of sushi once again and this time, I had 9 plates of Unagi sushi which we hardly get to eat in the previous visits.

My First Homemade Sushi

All the while I'm enjoying sushi made by others, but this time around I'm making my own sushi

*Cough!* This is the very first time I try to cook and make some food other than just instant noddle and to be exact it is the 2nd time I cook rice in my life . I have asked around on how to make sushi, ingredients recommendation, where to buy, which brand, search the net for recipe, video tutorial, skills explanation, bla bla bla and finally I shop at Tesco and Jusco for this:

• Sumo Japanese Calrose Rice - RM5.50
• Makisu (Bamboo Sushi Mat) - RM2.50
• Roasted Seaweed - RM7.90
• Diamond PE Cling Wrap - RM6.90 (if I remember correctly )
• Daisho Sushi Set - RM30.90
• Makisu (Bamboo Sushi Mat)
• Yamasa Sashimi Soy Sauce
• Sushi Vinegar
• Wasabi
• Roasted Seaweed

These are the ingredients I bought particulary for the rice part. Actually the Daisho Sushi Set will be enough but because of shopping separately, I couldn't find the sushi vinegar and japanese soy sauce at Tesco. So, in the end bought the sushi set at Jusco (that's why I have 2x Makisu and 2x Roasted Seaweed )

SYCI's Happy Together II

Duh... it's 5.33AM (29th Oct 2006) in the morning now and I can't put myself into sleep... First time striked by allergy and there are red patches over my legs and arms... gatal! Ah... well, rather than lying on my bed wasting time... might as well I just sit in front of my pc surfing around, check my mails (hundreds of unread) and chat with some frenz who haven't sleep as well *geng lar them!*

Heh, finally another new 'real' update for my blog than that expired rojak post 3 months ago... muahaha . Since m^tchy already posted the planning and preparation part of this college's students event, let me continue with what happening during the event:

wow, let u all see one of our college's beauty icon ~shh~ for this game u gotta use the satay stick only to pass as many polo as possible to your member

ok ok, finally we got some break (intermission time) in between games and we got our performers to sing for us... pretty good voice he has, dun u think? (only for ppl who present =P)

heh, dun u believe this... we setup a small stage outside our college using our college's signboard spotlights, some pallets borrowed from Giant (just directly opposite our college), carpet from SYCI's Marketing Dept. and some big black rubbish bags =P (it was due to the rain that we need to cover the stage thou, mana tau outcome cantek bcoz our black carpet only managed to cover partially of the stage... lol) Haha, all the committee members look like crews for a biggo concert starting soon...

mostly had their buffet dinner and let us take a break listen to their 2nd performance session while we are waiting for our food to digest a bit for preparation of the 2nd half games

again, yet another game we picked from 'Super Trio Show' and this is Guess the Number! teams take turn to guess once and the 'range' will be shortened to which closer to the answer... so, this lucky guy managed to guess it and he to required to eat that piece of Pringle from his forehead without using his hand... umm well, too bad he failed~

I guess I didn't mention out thou... those who guessed the correct answer is required to poke a ballon that contains a 'task' inside and he/she required to fulfill it or else...

for this round, actually a gal from his team guessed the correct number... sadly and I'm sorry that she injured her lips when she started to print and her teeth cut her lips a bit...

these few desperate guys longing for a present... haha... but anyway, we really really do welcome them of course. just perform something for us and if everyone satisfied, you all get the present. so they grabbed our whistles (deng! never pay rental) and dance like in the movie 'White Chicks'? sorry, I just heard this from them as I didn't watch the movie before. anyhow, they do entertained us and they get what they were desperated for ~ lol ~

Finally the event is over... I gotta thanks all the committees for their commitment, contribution, hardwork and determination to make it happen and successful. Also, thanks to them for having faith in me as voting me as the leader for this event. I learned a lot... heh, planning, preparation and management not easy thou... Everyone co-operated very well I must say, that's the main 'support' which lead us to this successful event. So, lets head for the celebration day ~~~ woohoo ~~~
